Description
Hydroset is a very precise electronic thermostat, suitable for terrariums and aquariums with all heating cables, heating mats or other heating devices up to a max of 300 Watts.
Note:
The Hydroset includes one electrical outlet and is designed to be used as a control for a single device of up to 300 watts.
ELECTRONIC THERMOSTAT HYDROSET
1) What is HYDROSET?
HYDROSET is a thermostat controlled by an electronic circuit. If the HYDROSET is connected to a heating system, you can maintain the desired temperature of the environment. HYDROSET controls the temperature both in the air in terrariums and in the water in aquariums.
2) How do you install HYDROSET?
If you use HYDROSET in an aquarium, it must always be placed outside the water in a position to avoid accidentally falling into the water, by fixing it, with the aid of the double adhesive tape supplied with the product. HYDROSET is also equipped with an eyelet which enables you to hook it to the external wall of the aquarium. The temperature probe is to be placed inside the tank, in the water, in an area where there is an abundant water circulation. The heating device used, like for example a heating cable, is to be connected to the electric socket of HYDROSET which in turn is connected to the mains.
If used in an terrarium, the position of the probe will depend on the necessities of the environment, that is to say, the probe should be inside the zone where one wants to control the temperature more accurately.
3) What is the maximum power of the load (heating device) which can be connected to a HYDROSET?
The maximum power to be connected to HYDROSET is 500W (230/240V, 50/60Hz) or 300W (115V, 60Hz).
4) What heating systems can be connected to HYDROSET?
Any type of heating cable for aquariums and terrariums, any heating pad for terrariums, any thermal heater for aquariums which does not have a thermostat controlling the temperature.
5) How can I adjust the temperature with HYDROSET?
HYDROSET is equipped with a dial to adjust the temperature, on which a scale is printed. To adjust the temperature, turn the dial until the temperature chosen corresponds to the temperature shown on the indicator situated near the dial. If the temperature indicated by the probe is lower than the one chosen, HYDROSET will automatically activate a heating device. As soon as the desired temperature is reached, the heating device will be disconnected from the HYDROSET source.
6) Can you tell if the heating device connected to HYDROSET is working?
A light will come on near the temperature regulation dial, indicating that the device connected to HYDROSET is functioning.
7) What preventive maintenance is advisable for my HYDROSET?
HYDROSET doesn’t need any particular maintenance operations. We recommend that you check periodically that the probe is not covered in impurities (like for example seaweed), which might compromise the precision of the sensing of the temperature of the environment.
