Description
Enjoy the convenience and savings of purchasing the industry's best and most accurate thermometer and humidity gauge in one package.

The T-Rex Combo Packwill ensure that your reptile, amphibian, bird or small animal has the correct habitat to live a long and healthy life. The T-Rex Combo Pack is perfect for all breeding and egg incubating applications. The T-Rex Reptile Habitat Thermometer is an accurate and easy to read dial type thermometer that is designed for use INSIDE the reptile habitat.

The T-Rex thermometer is different from other reptile thermometers currently on the market because it is not a digital strip. The T-Rex team has found that many, if not most, consumers assume the digital strip goes on the OUTSIDE terrarium glass, much like on their aquariums. This results in less than desired accuracy in temperature readings.

The T-Rex Habitat Thermometer is compact and mounts naturally at any desired location inside the reptile's habitat, giving accurate readings in a wide range from 60 F to 120 F. For best results, use two: one in the hottest area of the enclosure, the "baking zone" and one in the coolest corner. User friendly instructions give general guidelines for required temperature ranges of the most commonly kept reptiles. Serious and knowledgeable hobbyists now understand the importance of accurately measuring humidity in order to maintain different types of reptiles, whether desert or tropical, in their proper natural environment.

The T-Rex Reptile Humidity Gauge, like the T-Rex Thermometer, is an incredibly accurate and easy to read dial-type instrument that is designed for use INSIDE the reptile habitat. The T-Rex Humidity Gauge is compact and easy-to-mount, yet it measures relative humidity with an accuracy equal to that of laboratory instruments that cost up to 10 times more!!

The T-Rex Reptile Humidity Gauge is custom designed to display comparative readings for desert, moderate or tropical environments. User friendly instructions give general guidelines for the required humidity range of the most commonly kept reptiles.

Zoomed's Precision Analog Reptile Humidity Gauge

All Precision Analog Gauges Feature...

Terrarium Installation: Remove paper backing from the Velcro and attach hunidity gauge to the upper inside back wall of your terrarium. To ensure accurate humidity readings please keep the hunidity gauge away from areas that receive direct moisture or heat (i.e. don't shine basking spot bulbs directly on humidity gauge etc...)

The unique Velcro backing enables you to remove the humidity gauge for thorough terrarium cleaning.

Humidity Levels: Humidity is a measure of the degree of water vapor saturation in the air. The following is a guideline to the proper humidity levels for different types of reptiles. Please consult books on your specific species of reptile for more information.

Desert to Semi-arid Species: Less than 60% humidity (Some semi-arid species can tolerate up to 70% and others require as low as 40% or less). Specific example: Spiney Lizards (sceloporus Sp.) Savana Monitors (Varanus Exanthematics), Desert Iguanas (Dipsosauraus Dorsalis).

Desert species in too high humidity can develop respiratory infections, bacterial infections and various mycoses (fungal infections).

Tropical Species: 65% to 85% humidity is optimal, but most tropical species will tolerate 55% to 70% humidity without any problems.

Always provide ventilation in enclosures with a high relative humidity. (Do not allow solid condensation of water on the front or back of glass).

Tropical Species in low humidity become severly dehydrated, stressed, develop shedding problems, and possible liver or kidney failure.

Raising Humidity

  1. A moist substrate providing constant evaporation.
  2. Mist terrarium at least twice daily.
  3. Partially cover terrarium screen top.
  4. Increase size of water container.

Decreasing Humidity

  1. Use of lamps or heat emitters increase evaporation with no moistire replacement.
  2. Dry substrate
  3. Stronger air exchange (increased ventilation, fans or air conditioners)
